Weekend border crossing?

Can anyone let me know what day you think it would be better to cross the border North at San Ysidro and what time this weekend? I know it is labor day weekend and I would think everyone would be heading South, not North. I would like to cross Saturday, any suggestions? Muchas gracias

I'd try an early afternoon return after most of the holiday weekend traffic has passed going south and the morning northbound traffic is done.
About 11-2:00 would be my best bet.

Jim, doesn't this go against the driving at night theory? :no:

I think I would plan to wait in line so I was not the only target.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: !!!!!!!

Although I never cross on weekends, during the week there is usually a narrow window of opportunity from about 9:30-10:30. (After those who work in the States or take kids to school and before shoppers)

I would think that Sat-Sun the earlier, the better. But...You never know. ;D

Took me 2 hours yesterday at a little after 12 noon :mad:

And the cops kept shutting all the access points down in some lame attempt to control traffic flow..

I have the Sentri pass, but in going back and forth quite often in TJ and Otay, it appears that after 6pm on the weekends are the best time to cross. All of the locals have crossed to shop in the states and the us people have either crossed earlier or will come back later when they are good and drunk.
