Pernicious problem

For about the last couple weeks , I have found that accessing Nomads is extremely slow during the mid-morning hours. It's the same whether I'm at work on a T-1 line or at home on the cable modem. ONe morning this past weekend, I was getting timed out completely for about an hour or so.

Anybody else experience this? Doug? Your host doing mass mailings at this time every morning?

I have bee noticing it for some time.
I have been rebooting to speed it up and that works for awhile. Not many problems at other times.

Been real slow for me for some time now. This weekend especially, and early morning and early afternoon today again. Often can't even access the site. Once I did connect, I tried to post... timed out while I was waiting for the post to post. I'm on cable connect.

I have been blaming it on AOL and actually rebooting my Dell in hopes of speeding things up.

Want to say, when Nomad site timed out, I tried many other sites (just to see) and all loaded instantly

There are some load issues on the server email-wise (read: spam) that have caused slowness on a few occassions over the last few weeks, and has been considerably problematic the past two days.

I rebooted the server at 11:46am PT today - which took the site offline about 6 minutes or so -- but everything's been fairly clear through the day since... but I'm having to work on this issue - as it will be a recurring issue without action on my part. Just still working to make sure I first determine what the right action to take is.

Sorry I didn't post an announcement about this first.

Thanks for your understanding. The site's not going away.

Regards,
