Hwy 1 closed S. of Sta.Rosalia

I just talked to the bus driver in Vizcaino and he said that the highway is closed south of STA.ROSALIA. I don't know where but all the buses were held up there. It just started raining a bit here but it's still a west wind about 12 knots. Glad to hear that not too much damage in areas south and my condolences to those on the east cape who suffered damages. We filled our gas tank and got groceries as when the roads close, the Pemex trucks can't get through.

Thanks Shari: Stay Close and be Safe.
I had been waiting for a report that the Arroyos South of Sta. Rosalia had been Closed.
This storm has taken about the same Tract as "Lisa" 30 years ago.!

Has anyone heard from Cuidad Constitution?
Appreciate all the info.

Baja Road conditions since hurricane JUAN

Please, does anyone have info as to current road conditions after thehurricane has just travelled up the peninsula?? A lot of us with homes in Los Barriles need to get down there; and as for myself, if we flew in, we would have no vehicles there as we had to drive both of them north earlier, for servicing, etc.
OR, can anyone suggest a better website for discerning the conditions? GRACIAS!!:?:

Shari

It looks like many people want to head south to check on property or just help out.

As you find out about road conditions and availability of fuel in the GN/Vizcaino pls post.

My Mom & Dad are stuck in Spa Buenavista and need to get home.... my mom had a bad accident Saturday night while cleaning up.. she slipped into a sliding glass door and cut herself down to bone & artery... her quick thinking and previous nursing skills saved her life... I need them home.. Mom will fly, but my husband is flying down so my dad isn't driving alone...
Can anyone give me up to date road info from Los Barrilles to TJ? Please?

Cars ok to travel from Loreto to San Ignacio

Cars and pickups have made the trip from Loreto to San Ignacio on Monday 09/04 and Tuesday 09/05. No big rigs, RV's or trailers allowed to travel through the switchback area near santa Rosalia due to a washout area that larger vehicles could not pass as it is too narrow.
Gas was being pumped in Mulege with the aid of a generator. When that supply is gone, it is unknown how long the station may be without fuel.
No southbound traffic was being allowed leaving San Ignacio as of Monday 09/04.
