Clearing Customs with aid materials!!!

I have checked the General Discussion form.
Have any arrangements been made to clear customs with aid materials without paying "duty"??
If so, where is the info and how to do it??
Thanks,
Corky :?: :?:

ALWAYS go through declare.

1. Tell them that what you are bringing is for hungry, homeless, destitute people who need help, desperately.

They will most likely let you pass.

If they don't, then tell them fine, you will take the items back to the U.S.

They will most likely let you pass.

If they don't, take the items back to the U.S. and re-enter, repeating step one.

I think Dave is correcto, I spoke with the Secretary of tourism, in TJ. He said canned food is always fine, any other donations, if declared, would surely be waived through. Just make sure you declare what you are bringing and don't bring guns or drugs. Good luck.

If you get a letter from the Mayor of your city, you can bring it in. Just present the letter in a sealed envelope to customs as you cross
