Baja Weather forum

Hi there,

I'd like to see a weather fourm so that folks like me can monitor storms get advice, etc instead of having to sift through posts in the general forum. I think it would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Pam Bolles

roundtuit you missed the point again.

What is wanted is a forum to discuss current weather with first hand knowledge and experience not guess work from someone looking at photos.

Judy -- Pam is this correct ? Is this what you are asking about ?

Pam & Judy,

Questions for you:

1. What specifically do you see yourself using it for?
2. When - or under what circumstances - do you see it being used?

I fear it won't be used - the thought being we could use it for emergency weather issues - like we're experiencing now.... only thing is, when threre's an emergency, everyone reactively/instinctively/whatever goes straight to the General Discussion forum - probably because it's perceived to have the most readers due to the # of posts.

That's why there are "other" topics in the General Discussion area from Hurricane John issues over the past two weeks - and why I didn't move them elsewhere.

Your thoughts - and that of others - are welcomed.

I was thinking it might not work out as intended... but....

 Perhaps it would be useful to have a prominent link to Baja/Mexico weather. There are many. One example is
http://www.bajainsider.com/weather/tropical-watch-weather.ht...
Then it could be discussed on another existing forum. Maybe just adjust
road conditions forum to read road/weather conditions.:light:

That was imbecilic on Round's behalf. Maybe he started happy hour sooner than some. But for i.e., the San Felipe website offers a complete weather page, and I for one bookmark it and then go from there..... I would welcome it here! Wayno

Shouldn't it be enough to just post the name of the storm and everyone contribute their experience/knowledge of what's going on ? The events of John in Mulege got kind of poluted with everyone starting their own thread instead of just staying with the storm's events. Hard to follow what's going on that way.

I keep the following link right next to Nomads

http://www.eebmike.com/

There is plenty of info. there, and the Nomad general forum fills in with the "my hat just blew off" information I also want to hear.

Initially, I thought a weather forum would be a good idea, but after about 15 seconds of thought, I realized that I always just head for "Today's Posts". The likelihood of +24 hours of something like a storm, hurricane or natural disaster occuring without people posting to keep it current is virtually nil! Not to mention that there's always a few rebels <<(was THAT PC or WHAT?) who start multiple new threads on the same topic....but I'm NOT going there!
