Abreojos info
Hi All, new member here. Great site with loads of info.
Searched "Abreojos" but did not get all info I was looking for.
Driving down Oct 14 and looking for info on availability of food (restaurants or markets) lodging (motel or camps) and fishing.
It looks like the road is in good shape and paved most of the way there.
Will be prepared to camp but would like the option of a motel for some of the time.
Any help would be appreciated.

More questions
I came up with a couple of more questions.
Since we will be traveling below SQ we will need Visas.
The last time I went to BOLA I got this at the border at TJ.
This was on a weekday morning.
This time we will be at the border on Saturday 9am.
Will the office to get Visas be open?
Will the bank office at border be open?
If not where can I pay the Visa $?
Is there a better way to do this on a weekend?

Cant answer your Ab questions.
You might get some differing opinions but I much prefer to take care of the Visa at the San Ysidro border. I find it easy and fast, especially if you
are not a large rig (MH, towing something). If you are, they sometimes push you way down at the end of the parking area. Open 24/7. In the early
morning hours, you may have to wake up the migra guy or the banco guy.
Or, you can buy a pre-paid one in the states (Vagabundos, Discover Baja) and just get it stamped at SY or the border at Guerrero Negro. The pre-paid
ones generally charge a few bucks more for the convenience.

Thank you Hook and Whistler.
It sounds like no problem to get food and a place to stay.
Now all we need is a bent fishing rod.
We are bringing a cartop boat and Kayak but plan to rent a panga for a day or two also.
I found some other posts that mention fishing in Laguna la Bocana and Coyote has been slow due to netting.
Are these places worth trying for catch and release fishing or should we concentrate on the ocean?
Any info is helpful.

I am assuming you are talking about incoming and high tides?
Is the tide chart similar to the San Diego area?

Just got back. Big fishing tourney on the 17th - yellow tail, grouper and black sea bass. Lots of fun.

That's great to hear Abreojos is doing so well. Will do on the school supplies for Mulege. Our plan is to get over that way for at least two days.
Looking forward to seeing the Abreojos area and doing some fishing and exploring.
I will look you up while we are there.
