Mulege trip delayed by 'Road-Trip'...

...Well it's time for another October trip south to the Mulege area - except we've decided to pack our stuff into our 'new' (to us) Truck/camper and head on a Road-Trip, East bound, up here in the Norte States!

We're just heading out this weekend, plan to visit a few friends and relatives along the way, and see where the trails take us! We might get a far as the mighty Mississippi, don't for sure, yet - got about four weeks to 'spend' on the trip, so it's pack up, and hit the road!

Our 'new' 99 Ford F350, (V-8 gas) 4x4 with a 4" lift is shown below...I've added some new Nitto 'shoes', Rancho 9000 shocks, rear air bags to handle the camper load, XM Radio in the camper and the cab, Garmin StreetPilot C330 to find the nearest Starbucks to use the laptop WiFi...etc., etc.

Will drop a note or two along the way when we get a chance, and I'll have to drop by Nomad to get the latest info to keep that 'Baja Feeling' flowing through our veins!

Be well, all your Nomad Amigos!

Talk about...

...'long green'...this pickup is long, indeed! It's a bit hard getting used to the turning radius of an F-350, extended cab with an 8 ft bed! Sure ain't like our old 89 Bronco when it comes to making a 'quick' 180!

I love my F350 diesel. After a while, anything else seems small !
My '04 is lifted with air bags and dual front shock. Locking rear and winch in the front; it will go anywhere it will fit !

Enjoy your new toys !!
