MEXICO CITY — Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SA, the operator of 12 Mexican airports, will spend 650 million pesos ($60.7 million) to expand the airport in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, to serve its growing number of tourists.
Construction on a new 237,000-square-foot terminal will begin at the end of 2007 and should be complete in 2009, the company said in a press statement. The project will also include improvements to the existing terminals at the airport, where passenger traffic has grown 18 percent a year for three years, the company said.
