The more things change....

the more they stay the same.
Back in our racing days, 30 years ago, we used to always lose stuff in Ensenada the weeks prior to the race.
We lost race spares right out of the back of the truck, parked on main street, at dinner time.
We had a new bike, chained to the motel balcony, stolen from our motel.
And on and on and on.
Hard to guess whether it was locals or 'bad buy gringos' but the reality was that during race weeks nothing was sacred.
We always crammed everything loose into our motel room, pretty hard to stuff a pre-runner in there between the beds, unfortunately.
Sorry to hear this....

Some good news.
It looks like the truck and trailer have been recovered. The pre-runner and lots of stuff in the truck are still missing.
The truck and trailer got all the paperwork done and got back to the US. The pre-runner is very unique and can't be used without somebody knowing it is a stolen vehicle. Hopes are still high that it will be recovered also.
Another stolen truck was spotted by members of another team, and they gave chase. The cops pulled them over and threatened them with jail but refused to go after the other stolen truck.
Remember in Ensenada there is no difference between the cops and the crooks.
