Hotel y restarante La Mision

Anyone know something about this place, next to the Hotel La Fonda?

Supposedly the restaurant is owned by Gabriel Diego, the very controversial director of the nearby Door of Faith Orphanage at La Mision.

Hard to imagine how Gabe could scratch together funds to do something like this.

Also, wondering about the viability and quality of the place??

If you're looking for a review, here's mine in a nutshell:

Restaurant -- Food is just ok, nothing to write home about. Nice view from the balcony for an afternoon c-cktail, but the drinks and food are way better at La Fonda.

Hotel -- on a busy weekend, don't expect to get much sleep. The downstairs hallway is like an echo chamber, and if you're really lucky, you'll get the drunk guy staggering around at 2:30 a.m. outside your room and screaming his girlfriend's name over and over. (I had to go outside and break the news to him that apparently, she wasn't f***ing there.) La Fonda wins again.

Thanks Dan, actually the review is secondary, I was just curious if the place actually existed and was tolerable.
and, how in the world old Diego ever swung the deal, assuming he did.
mebbe that was Gabe wandering the hall......
hah, strike that, sorry for the cynicism....
