Fine dining in...WHERE?...San Quintin....YES-YES-YES...YE OF LITTLE FAITH READ HERE!
Yes my fellow Nomads….fine dining can happen in San Quintin. This dusty roadside pueblo has a World-Class restaurant…. well for Baja standards
anyway. This super clean/new restaurant has an Italian chief running the kitchen and things are really happening there. You’ve never had better
porto bello mushroom raviolis…lasagna…grilled Italian chicken before. Servers in white shirts/slacks stand safely away from your table with the hands
behind the backs looking for a look from you to serve. This is Baja…remember all you big city folks! The night parking lot guard/part owner passes
by your table every now and then to see if you have any needs (four times in an hour….once would have been enough frankly for us). Open stainless
steel kitchen for all to see. Our dinners +…soup/salad/2 beers and tip ( they add in 15% automatically….never seen this before in Baja) was $280
pesos.
Now their motel next door is just as good for lodging. All new also- TV (duh!), DSL internet (you need an eathernet cable or they will sell you one
for $100Mx), NO SMOKING-NO PETS/quiet and SPOTLESS! Again, with the part owner running the parking lot security, it’s as good as it can be. English
spoken, except at the check-in counter.
Directions- at the south end of town, on the east side of the road just by the little bridge. Name- La Villa de San Quintin Motel- see pix. And
sorry for the dinning room pix, I didn’t want to use a flash so as spoil the other diner’s mood
I would rate it up there pretty close with Antonio's Cactus Motel but with a first class restaurant to boot.
For reservations to the motel- reservation@hotellavilla.biz and specify San Quintin as they had a TJ location as well I understand.

Seems logical--Italian food in Mexico.
However, don't recall Mexican food last time we were in Italy.

I will concur with this report. This is my basecamp when I go down to visit my property. I don't have a structure built yet so I stay in town and also
eat at this restuarant.
I'm not sure I would say fine dining but the food is very good.
I prefer this hotel to the others. It's across the street from motel Chavez which is a little cheaper but also a little run down and old.
San Quintin might look a little dusty and disorganized but it's interesting in a mexican swap meet so of way. You can find most anything you might
need there.

the chavez is well run and very busy
you must have gotten the wrong room
the business people that travel up and down use this place every night
a little cheaper is fine for overnite

I stayed there last year after friends of ours recommended it. It was allmost new at that time. Prices were $35-$40. Equivalent to a Best Western,
with HBO!
Highly recommend. The restaurant at that time was only serving breakfast.
Very nice people.

Too bad they don't accept pets in the motel. I'll stick with Baja Cactus in El Rosario.
