ATTENTION- ALL VICTIMS OF HURRICANE JOHN: please report the good, the bad and the ugly insurance companies you experienced so far
Especially in the Mulege area, likely the hardest hit, who were the good guys and who were not. Lots of people want to know how you were treated so
we homeowners can support the Good Guys and not the bad. Rumors are flying around about "walk-a-way" insurance underwriters...any truth to this???
At the three month mark, details should begin to surface on this topic. All you are willing to share will be greatly appreciated by many I'm sure...

I have had no problems because I didn't file any claims but would be interested in hearing other peoples stories. CasaManzana did you file any claims?
and what results did you get?

Answer to Bruce-
I didn't file any claims as Posada Concepcion (14 miles to the south of Mulege) had no damage. I'm guessing the insurance companies are paying claims
or people would have jumped at this posting with bad experiences to report. Let's hope that is the case anyway.

can only collect from one event but they came so close together that they DON'T know what event affected you! So a lot of people have blue tarps from
FEMA over their condemned homes Two years later.

Had a shed burn here in San Felipe a couple years ago. The adjuster was great and they paid quite a bit more than I expected - with no arguing. Had
to leave town on a trip and the agent said the insurance company had deposited the money in his account but no paperwork. I told him I had to leave
that day and he wrote me a check on his account and told me to come back in when I returned to finish the paperwork.
I obviously am renewing with that agent.

The company is Seguros Atlas, and the local agent is Alani's Agentes Asociados de Seguros y Flanzas. Phone no. is 686-577-2464, Email
alanis@telnor.net.
Also have friends who had claims and were extremely satisfied with the agent/company's handling of their claims.
