The confiscation is whimsical on the needs of the guards.
If they are short on meat?
It's confiscated.

they are under fed orders to not allow and imported beef, only beef. it has not been lifted, really nada to do with if they want to eat it, es la ley.

i got burned on it last year with some choice rib eyes, i told the aduana inspector, was MMGM (guaymas) to enjoy his meal - he said not, they were going in the garbage. then i said good idea as i tenderized them myself with a good jolt of man sauce in the marienade and that i have a fatal STD...........:lol:

I've brought steaks from Ensenada, with receipts. But one time we didn't get checked, another time he asked about fruit and vegatables, and when he asked to see the cooler the spray guy interupted and diverted him.

But I still don't know if I can bring beef from Baja to Baja Sur.

I lost a whole lb of Montana buffalo jerkey at the Zihua airport once.:fire::lol:

I just made the trip south and lost track of how many check points....5-6 maybe 7 to Mulege. They were looking into cars trucks north, but not once was I stopped only hurriedly waved through. At the Agg. station at GN, senora asked if I had fruit...I said no, nada only 1 onion. She said nada? I said nada. end of story.
The trip north in May will be a different story I am sure.
