fishing between winds. bola

trying to get out between winds was tough the last two weeks but we managed one day on daves boat. the wind switched from the north to the south one day and we got out to los machos. the wind from the south and current from the north made for some interesting fishin but dave put us on the spot with 8 yellows in the 15 pound range and a nice grouper. a few times we had doubles with singles allmost every drift across pinicals to around 180 feet. there are lots of fish to the north but pick your days as we did.

i had this discusion with doc and he said there has been alot more wind then a normal year. our first night we were hit by 6o mph winds of the mountains and knocked over a pilla on my friends deck and did some damage to a deck accross from me. then the norths hit and we had some ragers. one day i went down to the beach with a wind gauge and it registerd consistant 33 mph with gust, we had no boats moored up that day.
