? on tourist visa
my wife is peruvian with a green card. we want to go see the whales in scammons this march. the problem is she has an expired peruvian passport and it
takes a looong time to replace. can she use her birth certificate to aquire a tourist card or does she need a passport.

Probably you have 90% chance nobody will notice the passport has expired...........
Peruvian living in Peru need a passport with consular visa. Peruvian living in US need passport only.

she only needs her green card and license to get back into the USA since i assume you'll be driving
She only needs her birthcertificate to get a visa at tj for 120 days
DO NOT let her "fall in"

Birth certificate is sufficient only for US and Canadian citizens. Other countries need passport to enter Mexico
