Team Pajaro Loco

The race is on.....
Less than 11 months till the 40th run of the baja 1000. We are not only getting ready but also looking for hometown (baja) support.

We will be racing our 5/1600 class volkswagen baja bug, and pre-running a few times during the year. Anyone wanting to tag along for the fun is welcome to join us.

I am based out of Loreto, and wll be working on a film documentary along the way.

Happy Baja 1000 to all

I am heading down tomorrow (2/6/07). The race car was taken in for painting yesterday. My sponsor wasnt keen on the mexican flag colors. So bright yellow it will become, along with the pre-runner which is getting the final baja prep work done and will be ready next month.

I will be driving the last years baja 1000 course this week (on days when we can't go fishing) probably from 50 miles north of town up san javier and over to the pacific.

Does you sponsor know Baja is in Mexico? I thought that using those colors was a nice gesture!

Yeh, they know.... The race team colors are red / white / green though. I will fly a mexican flag on the car too.

Now, if I can just get Modelo to give up some beer.

And yes, I know of Bajapits, I worked with them last baja 1000. They are a wonderfu group of people dedicated to getting their groups to the finish line. I will be working with them again this year.

Tom: thanks for your response to my e-mail. Any idea what kind of sponsorship dollars would be involved in getting my favorite Jewish Taco shop advertised on a fender?
