Cabo airport parking
Got an e-mail from a friend in Ca. claiming that the daily parking fee at the Cabo airport went to 300 pesos. Any truth to that ?

We just came back from a week in Guadalajara. We left our car at the airport parking lot. The cost for 5 days came to
1,500 peso . So yes the rate has gone up

We went north on the 4th and returned on the 11th. The new change took effect on the 8th. When we returned, we were charged 70 pesos a day, because we
left before the change. Otherwise it would have been 312 pesos a day.

My wife got hit by it, too. $150 to get out of the parking lot after only five days. No warning signs posted or advance notice, they simply changed
the rates on the board where you get the ticket.
The SJDC rates are now three times higher than the long term at either SF or LAX...
Now you'll know why you're suddenly seeing so many cars parked along the road leading to the airport...

Other parking?
Anyone know if the $4-5/day rate at San Jose Storage has changed in response to the Airport change?

Cabo prices for anything are highly inflated. Never had to pay for parking at a
grocery store before. Is that normal? I hope not.

Cypress, if you are talking about paying at the Aramburo market in Cabo I think that is more to keep long term parkers out of the lot than it is to
make the money. In years past it was difficult to get in that lot. They do not charge you if you show them a reciept from the store. Unless of course
you park there all day...........

osoflojo, My memory is a little fuzzy regarding the details, but your take on the
situation sounds about right.

I used these guys this summer and was very happy with them. They're 5 minutes from the airport and did drop-off and pickup for me. They charged $90 to
store a Suburban for a month under a roof. They seemed to have excellent security -- my truck was full of surfboards and other gear.

They even found my lost PDA/cel phone and saved it for me!
They charge less for non-covered storage.
