La Paz ? Aquamarina RV park still open?

We were thinking of stopping in for another stay with Richard and Marylou at the end of a kayak trip. Haven't been by there for a year. Their place has become more quiet since the cement bagging plant closed. Maybe the construction at the Gran Baja to the west has finished also. We have enjoyed the Adc-cks over the years and hope they are doing well. Would appreciate any updates.

Thanks,
Jay

It was open and looking good 4 weeks ago.
Both Iflyfish and JimJanet stayed there last month and we visited.
I hear the evening happy hour and potluck dinner parties were going strong.

Are they actually going to do something with the old Gran Baja?

Si, it is still open. Just walked by there last week to go kayaking in the bay.

The Gran Baja does have work going on the site, but appears to be a long way from being remotely ready for habitation. A good Mexican friend tells me it is to be condos ( eventually) but labour strife with the workers and possible money problems ( go figure!) have been slowing things. A fair bit of activity recently, tho.

We were there last Sunday, 2 days ago, and it was doing fine. In fact, we got the last open spot.

I heard that the Gran Baja had some people there on the far side from the park, but it looked empty to me. One of the locals said they had resumed work on it, but was very doubtful of any actual progress on it soon.

Have a great trip,

Clem
