Road to Bahia de Las Animas?

Anybody been there recently?
Contemplating a visit there instead of Gonzaga for a Mayo trip.

I was there for a day trip from BOLA in December. The main road from BOLA was no problem. Las Animas is 11 miles off that road on dirt and sand tracks that are very little travelled, but which did not prove to be very difficult either. (As a point of comparison, the trip from BOLA to Las Animas is much easier than the trip from Puertecitos to Gonzaga---they are roughly the same distance). Las Animas is home to two fisherman's shacks and that is it. I didnt see anyone else during the part of an afternoon that I was there. Very different from Gonzaga. You would need to pack everything you need for the entire stay.

Amazingly, these roads, some of which are little more than tracks in the sand, are well detailed in the AAA map.
