I didn't include the two guidebooks I wrote in the 70's in my list (I figured you guys would already know they were included!)
Here is the cover of my 1975 Roadguide... that made up half of this special edition of the Baja California Bulletin Magazine, published by Luisa
Porter... The center photo is my mom and Juncalito's Ramon Villalejo.

Here's the first book I wrote in July, 1973, I was 15... self published it with help from my sister and brother-in-law... sold every copy I made
(except for this one I kept).
It was a road log of Hwy. 1 from Tijuana to Puerto Escondido covering all the newest construction of the new highway, before it was completed.

That is quite a collection, David. That is one thing that I was a little dissapointed about when I stayed at Baja Cactus. I heard rumors about a
possible library there and I was really looking foward to reading some Baja History.
You have probably spent your life getting a collection like that, you know you can send them up to me to read and when I am done I will send them
back, I promise.

Thanks Fatboy,
The Baja Cactus / El Rosario Baja Book Library is not yet open, but the donations for books continues... I go to used book stores all the time and buy
books to donate to the future library.
Antonio will be building more rooms after his mini market next to the gas station is done. One of the new rooms will be a hospitality center and that
will probably be where the Baja Book Library will be.
Antonio will have something worked out so that none of these books 'get lost'... That would be the primary concern, as they are a valuable resource.
John M has posted the list of the collection contents, so far.
As for my personal library... Mi casa es tu casa... Baja Nomads are welcome to come over, enjoy a beer or soda, look at my books, use my copy machine,
look at Baja movies, etc. Just give me a heads up when you can come over.
Neal Johns has a bigger Baja collection than I, and he is very hospitable man. You have to love huskys, however!

Here is the bookcase in the Baja Cactus Motel lobby that was built to hold the Baja book collection... Something to look forward to, in El Rosario.
Thanks Lera! It has been something I have been building since the 1960's. Neal Johns' collection is bigger and he inspires me to keep adding...
