Mulege fishing trip

We fished four days in Mulege between March 11TH & March 16TH mostly at the north end of San Marcos Island for Yelliowtail to 28#'s. Most of the fish were taken on live bait (Big eye) fished about 100 feet down or casting into the bird schools, but quite a few were caught on yo-yo'ing blue/white iron or trolling purple Rapalla's. There were also some large squid caught along with the usual bottom fish. Water temp varied from 65 to 68 degrees and was mostly very flat and calm. The beginning of the week was better but as the week progressed the current slowed down and so did the action. As usual we had a super time and can't wait to return!

Just do it!
