tourist cards


Is a a birth cert and picture id still all that is required to obtain a tourist card? Yea I know I should have gotten my passport but I didn't and now I don't have time to wait for one.

YES

The passport requirement is for the United States, on your return AFTER mid 2008....

Mexico still accepts the passport with a photo ID to issue you a tourist card.... although they occaisionally threaten to require passports, too.

Might as well get one, at your local post office... $119? with a photo and it's good for 10 years... I got mine in about 4-6 weeks.
