Arrive by road - leave by air- return by air

If I drive down and then want to go back to the states for a week or 2 and return (Cabo or LaPaz) can I do this on an FM-T ?

You cannot leave any personal property in Mexico (like your car) when you leave... on an FM-T.

However, it is done all the time we hear here...

If another person is driving your car back for you, then make sure the Mexican auto insurance covers him/her on the policy and they have a notorized permission slip to drive the car if they are not a registered owner.

Be sure to get your FMT when you cross the border. They will take that when you fly out and if you dont have one, it will be a hassle. When you fly back in you will get another FMT; it is included in your ticket.
