Sentri Cards Good or Bad Experiences?

Ok, the Sentri system has been in place for a while now, so how has it been working for those using it?? I have had good service using it here in Mexicali and now they let you use it until 12 midnight, but like the Disney story goes one second pass and too bad!!!! I went to a wedding party in Mexicali last night and was in under 2 minutes until 12 midnight. The Mexican official was just getting ready to pull the gate arm down as I passed through. Now, on the American side the Customs agent told me not to even think about doing this again. He told me that either I was to be at his station at 12 midnight not one second pass and he does not care if cars are ahead of you. If not at station by 12 midnight you will be forced to return to Mexico and start the long line all over again without any Sentri quickness. I will now allow myself 30 minutes and nothing less to be at the Sentri line to prevent this from happening. My Sentri card is too good to upset the Customs inspectors that run the ship as tight as they can get it. Any others that have had anything good to report about Sentri or have you been forced to return for some rule violation or time violation:o??? bajafun777

Been in the program since it started at San Ysidro and it is better than sliced bread..........only drawback is the potential for them to over sell the capacity of the lanes.

You just got a jerk.........and that seems more and more possible with the re-organization of border agents since 9-11.

No complaints from me. Only minor irritants, like few random secondary visits courtesy of the Sentri computer, and one 24 minute wait due to the perfect storm of having only two gates open during rush hour, with a bus broken down on the right side choking the lanes down to one until right at the end. I use San Ysidro, so time of day is not an issue.
