Proposed R.R. from Colonet

It was announced in the Yuma Daily Sun today that Union Pacific is not interested in bidding on the rail line coming up from Colonet and going through Yuma, Arizona and since Union Pacific owns the rails in the Yuma area it is doubtful that the proposed line will ever go through Yuma. Mexican officials feels this might delay or cause more probems in going forward with the Colonet Port project.:wow:

They will probably get the Red Chinese to build it for them... I hear there will be several million 'extra or expendable' men soon in China.

Just cause UP doesn't want to look at building it doesn't mean that someone else won't and still connect to the UP in the Yuma area.

Ok David....... With all due respect to you ........Are you just spreading rumors or what?.......Where did you here this " Several Million Extra and Expendable Men" story???...... Probably what will really take place is when the Port is built..... Global Warming !!...... will have kicked in big time and flooded the newly constructed harbor.......DO NOT EVER IGNORE...... the scientific information that is out there, that there is a problem because of to many humans using to much of this planets resources. The sky may not be falling for you, and where you live, but for some people , and animals and fish populations, its a completely different world now. :fire:

Well, I ain't exactly all broke up about it.

Burlington Northern will probably pick up the slack and make the cross-town traffic in Flag even worse.Actually UP is not blaming Yuma opposition for this decision to cut bait. Why should they? They have Eminent Domain since the 1800's and can do what they like. They blame Mexican Gov't lack of response to specific Q's for the pullout.

Most likely the Port project will continue forward. If it does not, it won't be UP's pullout to blame, just the usual Mexican Government's adroitness at screwing up large scale development projects.

It was only one of the big stories in world news the past week... in summary, the commie government orders it's slaves (citizens) to only have one child. As China is mostly rural, male children are prefered. The female babies are aborted because they are pressured to have one child.

Well, 18 years later you will have millions of males with no hope of having a 'normal' life. Just how will the Chinese communist government deal with all these young, angry men? Take a guess...

They can be R.R. crossing guards in Flag. Then again; you will have a huge pool of helpers to choose from. You will be in "hog heaven".

"All The Expendeble MEN".........They will all end up in So. California........What makes you think they want to WORK!!!! All they really want is a lowerd Honda with a loud exhaust system and some baggy basketball clothes and a dumb hat on the side of their head and to be able to roar around Garden Grove at 100 mph.,high on meth, terrorizing tax paying citizens and have the State of California support them and their bad habbits, and life styles.

Nice diatribe there Crusoe. Since you mentioned Garden Grove I would suspect that those to whom you refer are of Vietnamese origin and not Chinese. But hey, they're all gooks to you right!

Well, if they could include passenger rail service, this might not be as bad as all that. But I know.
