the walk of shame that is...

Trying to follow the easy instructions, i'm sure their easy, for people who know what they are doing. All my photos are over 50kb, in fact their over 1000kb according to the file. Huh?

Cant get past "open". Cant find pictures, renamed them so I can find them , now cant open them

I hate this. I'm much better at building houses!

Thanks Grover. I tried the resizing link, it would only reduce it by half or 25 percent. At 1120 kb i have a long way to go. I have Road Runner internet, non dial up, not sure what that would be called then.

Been sitting here too long playing with this and I'm not even close and it's getting frustrating. So for now, I'm giving up, and will try another time with some professional help, I have a computer guy that set up the three computers in our home.

The odd thing is the damn digital camera, why does it take such large KB photos. Is there a setting on those so you don't have to reduce each photo one at a time?

Just trying to cut out the middleman here....

Clicked on the image hosting site, said file was too big.

It said it was 1048576 bytes, what happened to the KB's?

It's just a picture, taken with a digital camera, that's suppose to have some kind of a relationship with a computer!

That's pretty darn big! When you email it to me... attach the picture not the file! The email program will automatically reduced attached photos that are too big, but won't mess with attached 'files'...

We'll have to try another time.

That is just a sample photo picked out of some photos downloaded at one time onto the computer. That's all I know.

David, we went up to Matomi Falls in mid April, and I have pictures of me swimming in the pond, under the waterfall. And in addition we have pics of our vehicles and some highlights of driving out there. We wanted to show off our trip at that time here but couldn't figure it out.

But thankyou for posting one of your trips out there, it was the motivation to go there ourselves. Two vehicles, our 88 Toyota 4x4 and our 84' Ford Bronco ll which both are full time vehicles in Baja. Did have one flat tire on the Bronco ll but always carry two spares for each vehicle.

We'll try again another time after getting a consultant.

Thanks for all of your help, Grover too!

I have lots of nice photos from 30 years of Baja. I'm just trying to learn how to do this. Taking the photos are easy, displaying them on the other hand is the hardest thing I've ever done.

Hmmm... I emailed the reduced one back, you then need to save it to your pc 'my pictures'... then go onto Nomad and click browse and pick the reduced photo... LIKE THIS: (if you get it done Chuck, I will remove this post...)

I post the photos that I want to share using pbase. It's very inexpensive and you can post full size photos by selecting "incert an image" above. You just copy the photo file from pbase (after you have uploaded it) and add .jpg to the end of the file, and then "incert" it here on Nomad.

Here's an example... Bob H

Chris here, Mrs. BajaWarrior (after a long day at the office)
OK, we seem to be having some success finally. I changed the setting on the camera to a different resolution, took a couple of photos, followed David K's suggestions for resizing, and Grover's three easy uploading tips and wala...
We have a picture of our tomato plant!!
