Is June 7th a Holiday in Mexico?

I have 7 junio highlighted on my home-made calendar. Not sure why... it generally means there is some sort of holiday on the date. We had planned on going to town for banking that day so I thought I better ask around. I did a websearch for Mexican holidays and didn't find anything. But its a long round trip for us to to find the banks closed.
Thanks for a confirmation either way.

CP,
Every year we get a calendar as a Christmas gift from a friend who owns a grocery store and Pemex station. After reading your question and checking the link B & S posted I checked our calendar. It's the type that you tear off each day as it passes. Usually if it's a business as usual day, the number is plainly posted on the page. 7 Junio has a picture of a chalice with a sun rising out of the glass. Beneath it reads, "Corpus Christi Santos Roberto Ab.y Pedro Pbro." On the back of each page there is something shared there as well.

Corazon de chirichispa

Corazon de chirichispa
y ojos de chirichispe:
tu que me enchirichispaste,
hoy desenchirichispame.

Something tells me that the banks won't be closed, hope this helped.

Are you a reporter, writer, news person, radio talk show?
"June 7th is "Freedom of expression day" "Dia de la Libertad de Expresion y Prensa", newspapers, radio, TV will all be celebrating but banks, post offices, schools and government are open.

The banks will be open, that is the day they get desenchirichispeados by a special desenchirichispeador that comes from chirichispalandia.
The following week they will get the chirpiorca

Amir, You have uncovered my dirty little secret. I just feel I'm a little too old to be a "newbie" or "junior". So I'm writting as fast as I can. Hopefully after today I can rest. CaboRon :bounce:
