Prepaid Dish TV Programming

Radio Shack now sells prepaid cards for Dish Satellite TV....no contracts. The cards are sold in $30 or $40 increments. They also have an RV Dish system for $99. You can buy multiple cards in advance and the expiration depends on the programming you choose.

The Radio Shack employees could not tell me if it would work in Baja (Mulege for me). My guess is that you would need a larger dish. The Dish Network website is not very clear when trying to get specific information regarding exactly what you need. I haven't called them yet but I think that is what it will take to get clear.

You can also buy a tripod stand and a signal locater for about $40.each. The signal locater would eliminate a lot of problems when trying to set it up yourself.

Any opinions or has anyone tried this yet?

Prepaid Dish Network

The following are also selling the Prepaid package:

www.futurevisionsat.com
www.sadoun.com

You can add any amount to your account and it will be used as needed.

From what I've heard, an oversize dish may be needed as far South as Mulege. Others have practical experience.
