New to Baja Nomad (Updated with sketch)

Hi, My name is Sharron, my husband Pete and I are building a second home in El Cardonal. I have been lurking for some time and find this site very helpful. We are just getting started, have water, power, and septic in. We can't wait!:bounce:

Welcome! There is a wealth of knowledge, experience and help on this site. You will get varied and often opposing opinions on most subjects. If you have been lurking you will begin to see patterns of thought so you can choose the posters you trust. There is also a lot of humor. Jump in and have fun.

Best of luck with your building. I hope you will be able to be present during the building. Read the novel God and Mr. Gomez ;)

Welcome aboard Sharrone! Where is El Cardonal loacated? I can't find it on my AAA map. Would also be interested in what type of structure you are building.

Thanks everyone. We are building a concrete home. Still trying to decide which builder to use. What we wanted and what we can afford seem to be very different. We will get it done. but it will be smaller, which is better less to clean. We have a wonderful lot with a great view just above the beach. I will keep you posted.

El Cardonal is locatedon the Sea of Cortez north of Los Barrills, south of La Paz. A small town. We have friends that moved there several years ago. Went to visit several times, fell in love and bought a lot.

Welcome Sharrone! I am a "newbie" at everything here. Many people on this site have been very helpful without even knowing it.
Good luck with your home...patience, persistence, a large crying towel and a sense of humore and you'll get there!
