Unpaved Streets in Loreto deemed a health hazard

The following link is in Spanish:

http://www.oem.com.mx/elsudcaliforniano/notas/n310747.htm

what is says if that yesterday 12 june, 2007 the state health department has shut down the food sales (restaurants and taco stands) on Juarez and Salvatierra streets because of unsafe conditions.

the water and sewage lines were recently replaced and the streets have not been paved on top of them yet, there are many leaks and these leaks are raw sewage. this dries up, turns to dust blows around and...we'll you get the picture. yuck!

the secretary of health is recommending all persons avoid eating along the main roads that have not been paved yet.

Yeesh, much of this started six months ago. I stopped selling food items when they started to break up the street in front of my shop right after the semana santa holiday.

chit, no launchramp, no food sales along the streets because its a health risk, can't even work in this town if ya want to :fire:

obviously the municipality is not enforcing this declaraton by the secretary of health, it also says in that article they recommend people do not eat at the restaurants along these streets (the end of the article). some of the establishments like Rey del Taco is following the advisory. if you choose to take that risk its up to you but I have been advising my visiting clients for months to stay away from these eateries for this same reason. why risk being sick for even one day of your vacation?

Hey Reys has been closed all week but guess they gotta survive like the rest of us so who can blame them. But carne asada tacos with all that dust full of E. coli doesn't really sound too appetizing. :barf:
