Just thought of this... if your dog is American and she mates with a Mexican chololate lab, can you become a Mexican citizen and then buy property in
Mexico?

OK. Maybe your neighbor has a lab. It does not have to be chocolate. Black, yellow. Don't matter. My dog is not picky

Plus, there is no guarantee that two chocolate labs will have chocolate puppies. It's a gene thing ...

Given the number of homeless dogs, and euthenized dogs in the world, have you thought of spaying your dog?

Breeding Labradors vs. spaying/neutering
Elizabeth, I believe that spaying/neutering is an important aspect of responsible dog ownership, but........
In this case, two Chocolate Lab owners are trying to arrange a "play date" for their well loved and cherished pets in order to share genetics and
planned offspring with other water dog enthusiasts.
not everyone wants to adopt a dog from the pound.......

I have a 3yr. old chocolate male. Sorry no balls. Need advice/ideas on how to treat a torn right rear ligament under the knee cap. He's been on a lead
for 2 months and isn't showing much improvement. The vet says the surgery is $4,000 and 8 months of therapy. Anyone have results w/o surgery? He's too
young to be cooped up and we're both not liking this restriction.

We had the same problem with our Australian Blue Heeler. He was 9 years old and we really debated before going ahead with the surgery. It was 6
months of very time consuming therapy as you need to increase the excercise very slowly and frequently. The main problem being, they often injure the
healthy leg because they favor the one
that had surgery!!!! Aussie recovered well and is now 14 years old. He used to love
playing frisbee and jumping for "whatever". We were advised to not let him continue
this "playtime" activity. Good luck with your decision.
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!

Thanks for the insight. I really can't do the surgery and trying to keep him calm while on a lead isn't working so I guess it's the crate. It is the
ACL but I don't know how badly it is torn. He'll put it down and some times use it. Especially when guests arrive. Thanks again.
