FRIDAY 13, SUPERSTITIOUS NOMADS?

I just noticed that this is a friday, the 13th of July. What is your/family's/friend's superstition?

My only current superstition is that it is good luck for my house construction to bring my workers Tecate every friday afternoon. Or it just might be my way of thanking them for good work, no injuries and helping me with my language challenges. Anyway, 12 pack has been in freezer this past hour and is ready for mi trabajadors.

WHAT'S YOURS?

Yeah, I can never seem to get through any of his posts, either. I keep getting distracted by the avatar.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Me too DanO, the beer looks so frosty, so refreshing, mmmmm.

No superstitions here.

Hey David,
That's the exact spot I was sprawled out in pain with a bleeding string ray wound about three years ago! Happy b-day to Sarah. Shuffle your feet!

Sorry to hear that! I have been lucky and never been hit by a ray!

Here's Hotschott at Nuevo Mazatlan's former name feature... 'Agua de Chale'. The old well dug by 'Charley Chinaman' a hundred+ years ago... The old well has had this newer brick and cap added.

No Superstitions Here !

I've always believed that kind of stuff is nonsense.

No problems today. Drove up to Poppet Flats near Idyllwild for a day of swimming and eating KFC (with a cold MGD) under the trees while playing Scrabble with the wife. A perfect day other than some of the oldies floating around on their noodles were complaining that the pool temp (82) was too cool. Probably lack of circulation.

Hey, the avatar simply displays 2 of my favorite things about Baja. Bajamigo suggested I go back to my "pub" napkin logo.

I'm not superstitious, either, but following is from my grandmother, dad's mom.

Large Irish Catholic family, so dinners were always big feasts. Whenever number of guests at the dinner table was around 12, grandma would either add or discount herself or grandpa as host(s) to keep away from that other very dangerous number.

Hey I chose lote #13 to build my house.

MAS AMARILLO, SI!

My camera is not worthy of this scene, so I'm hiding it in the superstition thread. Yes BG, and PAIRS, including 7/13 sunset pix over Punta Banda, are part of natures wonders.

I was up at 6 and coming down the stairs I tripped near the bottom and fell. Nothing hurt. After feeding the cats I go out front to get the paper and the neighbors dog was out and he grabs my paper and is off down the street. Oh well. I go back inside and watch the Tour de France on TV. Getting ready for work I cut my self not once nor twice but three times, geez. In my truck heading to work a car runs a stop light and I hit it causing the air bag to pop. I call the wife to come get me. After my truck is towed and I drop off the wife I finally get to work. A company meeting is called just before lunch and told there are lay offs and I'm one to go. I get my things and head home. I pull into 7/11 to pick up a six pack and get rear ended by a lady talking on her cell phone. Damage not too bad and after exchanging insurance and driver info I get the beer and go home. I pull into the drive way and my paper is there waiting for me, I guess the dog brought it back. I go in turn on the TV and find out the cable is dead, so I sit down open a beer and read the paper. I hope the 14th is better.

TW, nice C&W music lyric. DanO & Bajaguy, changed avatar to keep your attention where it should be. AND prove that I'm not superstitious about blonde v. darker pours.

Capt. Mike, best wishes on recovery. 7 knee surgeries for me. I'm in constant need of good nursing.
