Parking

In most towns in Baja, is it safe to leave your car, (trunk loaded with all your stuff) on the street, or is there a safer idea? Sorry for such a basic question, I'm not sure I'd want to do it here in Philly.

You know, you drive into town and want to walk around a bit.

What choices do you have... not go to town?

I feel safer in Baja (over 100 miles south of the border) than in L.A. or other cities!

I used to live in Philly and I feel that my car is as safe in Mexico as Philadelphia if you have good security devices such as "the club" and good locks. Also I prefer to leave my car in a lighted area. Have a good trip!

There IS a Reason

Whenever you go to the larger stores such as Costco, Walmart and Home Depot that they have security guards patrolling the parking lots.

BV,

We spend time in La Paz frequently and always leave our car, full of stuff, even in the back seat, and never had a problem thusfar. Would not do it at night though. And we usually park downtown on fairly busy streets.

Tip these security guards before you go in to the stores and they will watch your car. they only work for tips they receive no salary
