Right click on the image.

Select "edit." Pic will open in MS-Paint.

Click on "Image", select "Stretch/Skew."

Enter percentages likely to result in 150 pixels(i.e if pic is 300x300, enter 50% Horizontal, 50% vertical.)

Hit OK, then "Save" when you close it. Voila.

Thanks Grover. I've got two questions,
doesn't the avatar need a web address?
I've got a Mac, no MS paint. How can I size it?

Well, looks like my test didn't work. Not that it's that important, but I'd like to try and post an avatar under my name too. I've been able to size my image to under 150 pixels and I've tried to profile/edit the image in as instructed [img] picture url[img] but nothing shows up. Am I missing a step?
many thanks for any help.

Wow, I pasted the url address into my profile, it was there for a while, now it's gone. Should I have saved it somehow?

Thanks

I used Imageshack and it's seems to have worked. I always wondered how to do that and that was easy.
