Now that I have figured out how to shrink my pics I can post some other pics I wanted to share. This fish weighed 34# caught 20 miles off pta pescadero.

Smoke,

Very nice fish! Did you note what the water temp was where you caught it? One last question, did you catch it trolling or with bait?

News of Dorado is very welcome!

I believe the water that day was about 76. Trolling for marlin and it hit Purple and black 9 inch zuker. Prior to that, mean joe green was the hot lure.

I hear you.:yes:Now that I have caught and weighed 2 large fish, I kinda have to grin when I hear the fish stoies around the bar of all the 50# Dorado being caught. Its not their fault of coarse because like you I believed what the captain was telling me( of coarse its easier to believe when you want to believe):bounce::tumble: Any way I got a kick out of your post
Jim

Nice Fish, Smoke

Why don't you send some of those and their big brothers on north. We are getting a few of those in Loreto, very few. The average, however, is probably under 10#, and you have to work for them. Here is a photo, if I can get it to attach, of a dorado of more typical size for Loreto this year giving up a squid at the boat in an attempt to bribe his way to freedom. (It worked.)
