eBay in Baja
What kind of experience has anyone had with eBay in Baja. Getting items shipped to Baja, shipping from Baja, etc. Is it too much of a pain in the
 or does it work?

The people I know who have done eBay in Baja have an address stateside for both the shipping and receiving ends.

Most eBay ads specify no shipping out of US, I personally wouldn't trust that an Item would get to me.

Yup, we buy/sell on Ebay all the time but all addresses are in the good 'ol USofA. In case no one has noticed, the Mexican postal service, uh,
sucks...but read they've contracted with the USPS to learn how to do it.

i sold 22 18 ft inflatable boats from the usa and shipped them all over the world with no problems but it depends on the value of the item if its
worth it
I would use DHL Danza they will give you an exact cost and delivery time
insist insurance, shipping,and handeling,and price up front from buyer you will have a way of tracing it and proof of shipping

Had two separate items sent to my P.O. Box here....both low value....first one made it, second one never did & was never returned to the
sender...oh, color me surprised! That was the end of my e-Bay days!

The first time I traveled to Mexico I met a guy from Austria. He told me about a postcard he had sent home on his first trip. It got their about 3
years later..
It had a postmark on it from:
Australia, Albania, etc, etc,.. I think he told me about 4 or 5 countries that started with "A".. It did get there eventually though..
I've sent stuff to people in Mexico with regular Mexican postal service before.. maybe it is still on "world tour"; but, it has yet to arrive 2 years
later.
My advice.. don't waste your money. On the other hand... I have had 100% success with FedEX and DHL in Mexico. So that might be a way to go.
Filling out paperwork for international shipping is a big hassle though.

SHIPPING TO BAJA/POST
I once posted a postcard to El Centenario in the Mexpost box in the little square in Loreto. It took 7 months . . apparently every local knows NEVER
to use it . .
Twice, items posted to me from the States ended up in Guadalajara customs - its not worth it.
My take is this: if you are going to get serious about shipping any quantity of goods from the US, set up a relationship AND shipping address with a
good border broker (who will become your home away from home).
This will also avoid (at the cost of a brokerage fee) the strange 13-20% (depends on the state of the tide) self-declaration duty at the "duty-free"
NAFTA border.

fedex in b.c.s.?
has anyone had experience with fedex in bcs? i havent been able to locate an agent of fedex in bcs yet.
