Are they there yet???

I am talking about foodsaver bags...bought a new unit for fish and have been finding a lot of new thing to do with it. I am going through bags fast...stocking up on bag material now. Costco should have them in San Lucas, but it is not my favorite place to shop...there. Here I eat 2 meals a day in Costco...:lol: Hoping for a Mexican equivalent.

Well, I did see the foodsaver units, "Oster" brand I believe, for sale here at Costco in Mexicali. I'm not sure if they sold the bags for the separately though. Wasn't really looking. They did have a really nice looking air compressor for $550 pesos though!

What kind of stores are around your place in Todos Santos? I can look for you. We have Gigante, Ley, and Calimax here.. as well as Wal-Mart; but, I suspect there is much less down in Todos Santos.

I hope that helps.. or that I am able to help if I can.

Thanks Judy and Mango...I fell asleep early last night so I am just now responding. If I remember right this stuff is about $.45 cents a foot...big investment to keep me going for awhile. The whole deal may not be as good a deal as I thought...thank you for looking for me...I will owe you big time.

If you mean those expensive freezer bags, my wife found a way to go around them that works. She buys a roll of those bags you use for produce in the grocery store ( almost any store will sell them to you ), then double or triple bag the item to be vacuumed and frozen, and voila !! works like a champ.

Todos Santos has rather limited shopping presently. I have not noticed anything that looks like those bags you describe, but then I brough stuff like that with me. Know what you mean about Costco in Cabo, but sometimes a trip there is worth the hassle. LaPaz has some good shopping and may have the bags you want. The only big market in town currently is El Sol and it is pretty small compared to the large stores in LaPaz or Cabo area.
