Need suggestions for conception bay camping w/sailboat

Last year we stayed mostly at Santispac with our motorhome and had our inflatable tied up offshore. This year we'll be bringing a 17' Windrider sailboat with us and would want to also keep it in the water tied to shore. I'm wondering if there is a better camping area with deeper (close to shore) water in the area. We would love to have 16" of water at low tide if possible without having to have a super long tether to shore. Also...hubby is partly disabled and it would be a hardship for him to have to wade very far to get to and from boat.

Also appreciate info on where to put boats in the water. Not sure if we really need a real boat ramp or not.

Thanks!

Sandy

Rig an outhaul mooring system from the bow to shore and tie off the stern with a float to the anchor. You can "park" your boat in deep water then retrive it when needed.

None of the sandy beaches in Concepcion Bay have a steep sloping beach. In the lagoon at Santispac, the dropoff comes within 20' of the shore by where the rusty posts stick out of the water. Other than that, there's the rockier beaches over by Naranja's.

Dave's clothesline idea is good, except at low tide when you have a long walk over the slightly gooey sand.

Naranjos
http://mulege.org/naranjos/naranjos.htm

a couple of sailboats moored infront last year...
it 13 feet deep

you can't sail in the "big dogs" with the fixed keel
little 26 footers are fine

Armando and Delia also have a section you can launch at low tide and retrive
I did it easily this year at low tide

If you get in trouble there is help there to assist

Palapas are about $10 a day
you can rent a palapa and park the motor home or trailer next to it...
septic tank hook ups are there

Casitas "rustica" are $25 to $35 and include a toilet and shower (cold) sink stove and 2 beds
CLEAN!!!

think about it
lots of support there if you need it
