If you rely on international mail, especially for vital items, you will suffer. Don't do it.

The VA will NOT mail to a Mexican address.

Some items in Mexico are cheaper than the postage would be.

I don't know Lou. I get all mine at the issste and find that in the last few years the prices almost tripled. The pharmaceutical manufacturers must be taken lessons from the ones in the States.

Cheaper than FREE ?

Hard to beat free.

As far as the Mex refills being cheap, it all depends. I found that many Blood Pressure and Cholesterol meds are just as expensive as the U.S. Atenolol, Elavil, Lipitor for example. In fact, in my case, they're higher in Baja because my wife's program makes them Ten bucks apiece.

But when you and in shipping to Baja Sur, it really isn't free anymore.

And yes check the ones you need - they are not all cheaper in Mex.

Have you tired explaining to the VA that you'll be out of the country to see if they'll give you a 6-month supply?:?: Yeah, I know....reasoning with the VA probably qualifies as an oxymarooon!
