Horseback

I'd like to do some horseback riding, oh, when in Mulege or Loreto. Has anyone experience with horse rental?

If you come out here you can ride our horse all over the place, great place to ride along the beaches and hills and arroyos...heck we'll lend him to you for a few days if ya want in exchange for some hay or a bag of oats/cantador...he's a darling and very mellow.

Shari,
Do you only have one horse now? The reason I ask, is because I'd be interested in a horse loan as you say, but would like two. My daughter is horse crazy and would love to camp out with horses. We could fit quite a bit of hay/feed in the back of our truck.

We tried to 'borrow' a donkey for a summer once, but the rancher didn't want the donkey to become too attached to us, or us to it, as the rancher planned to eat it someday. I guess that would have caused him some trouble down the road.

Anyway, like I said, I'd be interested in working out a horse loan sometime in the future.

My dog's name is Paco, but when I'm mad at him I call him Taco. He shapes up immediately! :O

At the moment we have only one horse but amigos of ours have horses and would be easy to rent another one too. It would be a lovely camp trip indeed on horseback...it would be cool to ride up the Arroyo de los chivos which is full of fossils! and there is a ranch at the other end too.
