dorado in mulege...

from Gene Kiras weekly Western Outdoor News column....

http://www.mexfish.com/mfn/mfn2007/mfn071015/mfn071015.htm

MULEGE, MEXICO: Bob Frambes of Playa Frambes Lighthouse Resort said, "The dorado are still in Mulege.

Mike Chavez from El Sobrante, Calif., and Michael Heiner, a new resident of Mulege, caught a nice dorado just 3 miles offshore at Punta Concepcion,"

Frambes said. "They stopped at Playa Frambes on their way home and cooked fish for their entire construction crew."

Frambes said the dorado was caught aboard a 16-foot boat while trolling a "secret lure." "Heiner said they left Naranjos Campground at about 7 a.m. and made bait easily right out front,"

Frambes said. "They said they caught little chickens too. They were everywhere. They also saw several sailfish and marlin."

MULEGE FALL FISHING--Mike Chavez, left, and Michael Heiner fished on their 16-foot boat about 3 miles off Punta Concepcion and saw several marlin and sailfish during their outing.

They had their dorado cooked and served at Mulege's Playa Frambes Lighthouse Resort. PHOTO COURTESY OF BOB FRAMBES.

Mike Chavez of El Sobrante CA and
Mike Heiner, a new resident of Mulege

they snagged ANOTHER nice dorado about 2 miles offshore just south of the point of the bay at Concepcion here in mulege...:o

Mike Heiner is looking for a propane fridg for his palapa at Naranjos
http://mulege.org/naranjos/naranjos.htm

he said any "used" one would be fine
not "too expensive"
(he's on a "fixed income");)
