Highway1 closures?

SWIMPAL and I were all set to leave for BCS on Tuesday but those plans obviously had to be altered due to the firestorm.
We're now hoping to depart tomorrow AM.
Are there any road closures on Highway 1 due to the fires near Ensenada and Maneadero?

Nothing we can confirm at this time. Maneadero is not a problem. El Zorillo, it looks like the fire did jump the road Monday afternoon but is somewhat under control at this time. No winds today, a good thing.

When we drove through that area Tuesday, the fire had jumped the road, but the road was open---smokey for a little ways.

No problem with the highway further down with another fire---all that was on Tuesday----don't know today.

Sorry - today was the first day of marginally clear skies for me - obviously, the brain is not as clear - must be some kind of osmotic pressure imbalance or something. All is good now.

Came through on Tuesday mid day and road was open. Bad fire there south of Maneadero burning all the way to the coast. Was burning on either side of the hiway. We were very glad the road was open after our 2.5 day slog through the wind from Mulege north. Worst I have ever seen.

word now is all is open and clear. Certainly some hot spots back in the hills. But around the hiway (read populated areas) all is well - as of this moment.
