Local bus service to Asuncion?
Is there local bus service from Guerrero Negro to Bahia Asuncion? I'm going to do a quickie whale trip via bus this year instead of drive, and
thought it would be fun to spend a couple days at Asuncion too.

Pretty sure the closest bus service is to Viscaino.
You need to catch a ride from there.
Anyone know if anyone rents cars in GN ?
Or maybe a Nomad hitch-hiking sign ?

There is the local peninsula bus from GN to Vizcaino but no bus to Asuncion. The locals just hang out at the Pemex and wait for someone heading our
way and hitch a ride. We often just go fetch our guests from Vizcaino if they provide the gas expenses. We'd be happy to do that Widerone...or maybe
we can coordinate a ride with another Nomad...I would like to organize another nomad whale adventure like we did last year too so with a bit of
planning we could do this. Last years Nomad whale trip was awesome and afterwards we all came here together. Another possibility is if it is on a
friday or saturday, Sirenita could guide your trip and then bring you out here!!! When were you thinking of coming our way amigo?

ooooo! that would be fun. No set dates - considering weather and whales, likely sometime between Jan. 19 and Feb. 23. Was planning to bus from TJ,
stay at Caracol, get on whale bus (maybe camp at the beach at Scammons, if I can get on the next day's bus to return to town), and then ?? Would like
to camp on beach in Asuncion, hike to fossils, see petting zoo, fish from shore, fish tacos - whatever. I can pack all that I need in military duffle
- I've done that several times. But I would need to know that I could get back to GN to get bus to TJ. Plenty of time to see how various factors
fall into place. At a minimum, I would see whales, camp at Scammons, then head back to TJ.

Hey W one.
its your old nemesis capt. mike here, the land developer and mega user of carbon credits.....
beings i am hooked up with Johnny Friday's eco camps at Laguna San Ignacio i got a plan B you might like cause the BEST eco camps and whales
experiences ARE at Laguna by far - i have done them all, believe me incl Mag bay areas.
you can ride the ABC line all the way to San Ignacio cuidad then get the van ride right to the parque any morning. You can camp at several eco style
bases like Kuyima or Campo Cortez Johnny runs.
its an eco trekker's orgasmatron. i have dropped and picked up pax for years there.
you'd like it.

And those things flashing in front of your eyes may be whales but then again they might be pink elephants.

Hey MIke, you forgot the IMHO...I too have been to them all and I beg to differ! Perhaps some appreciate another "style" of camping...lower
key....less commercial....minimalist camping without air traffic. what is best for some may not be for others...IMHO

oh, well sure camping with you guys would be tops like at your san roque's beach house for sure. i hope to do it one day.
but are there whales you can pet there?
my point was that an eco camp at Laguna would be better than just going to Scammons out in the "cattle" boats.
there's actually very little air traffic at laguna and Kuyima and Campo cortez are both far enough away that you hardly notice a plane landing.
