Gets up before dawn to go fishing.



We were going out lobster fishing and they were going out to catch dinner. :yes::yes:

I really like this photo, Diane. The shadow/light effects with men in silhouette, the subtle colors of predawn, the wake of one panga as it moves towards shore. Very, very nice.

And now I'm going to display my ignorance and ask you a silly (to others) question... what do you do when you 'go lobster fishing'? I have this mental image that includes diving... :?:

Well, not exactly. We were invited out with a couple of local lobster fishermen, and believe me, after talking with the local fishermen and hearing what they do with poachers---we don't want to try that.

As you see, the lobster just fly into the boat.

Out of a quite full trap, they are lucky to get a couple of keepers. Hard work for them, and a real education for us.
