Magnetic water softening method
Any of you Nomads have any experience with the magnetic way of softening water. I have a conventional one, uses salt, which never seems to work
properly. Lots of problem with salt bridge building up. Plus difficulty getting he salt here. Just talked to someone who replaced his softener with a
big magnet, the kind that lifts outboards out of the water ( he claims, news to me ) and swears by it.

Many government and university studies exist showing the results aren't there to support magnetic water softeners and if scientific studies exist
offering support please send references links here.

I was in the water treatment business for lots of years and there is NO magnetic thing that works.
Pure Scan.
Get a rubber mallet and when the softener bridges pound the outside of the salt storage tank. The bridge will break.
Love that silky feeling!

Not quite.
He heard about it and gave it the good old college try. Bought a very big magnet at Harbor Freight and ducttaped it to his water line. So, not much
money involved.
My common sense told me that it couldn't work, to go with what I remembered from my science and chemistry classes 50 years ago.
