Cabo/San Jose lodging recommendations around Christmas

am a fellow Nomad, live in Loreto area. friend wants to fly to Cabo around mid Dec, or later. not my cup of tea but wish to oblige, visit.

any recommendations for nice but not sky high lodging, B&B, etc? around 100us/night preferred, know timing may require higher, would like value for money and nicest I can get in the 100-150 range. less would certainly be lovely but I can't take any more Senor Mananas. thanks.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

The Tropicana in downtown San Jose falls into your price range. Nice pool, walking around town easy. 624 142 1580
The old La Playita(now La Marina, dont ask?!?!?!?) is right on the marina and the truck traffic has almost ceased. Great for early morning walks on the beach. 624 142 4166

Mar de Cortez in CSL is a lot cheaper than that but really fills up around Christmas. Check the Finisterra, they ofter have specials that can make the price fairly reasonable.

Osa, a fellow Nomad, owns the Delfin Blanca. It is open and the truck traffic has died down considerably. The problem in La Playa at this moment is road work. Should be over by the end of December....should be.
I do not have any contact info but will try to come up with something....if I remember correctly a room, casita, is around $80
