Stealing Pro Surfers Fins to Keep them out of the water
This is really funny. I haven't heard of this surfer, but he's a pro who ripped off a few too many locals.
Does anyone know if this has happened before?

The surfer who sent it to me said the guy would have died from alcohol poisoning with all the people who were asking around trying to buy him a
bottle. Makes me want to make a trip down there if the locals are that cool.

Tell us about the Sacred Saints of the Secret Spots.... Is there a tradition of these kinds of actions in Baja? Could the perp have known about
others?

I remember awhile back, alot of Nomads were rather horrified (and rightly so) about the way "locals" acted towards each other, to perceived
non-locals, or to the general public when it came to violating the basic tenets of surfing. Analogies were made to apes, criminals, mono-cellular life
forms, et. al. Now you guys think it's hilarious. What a hoot! Brodeal, you want to hear about other tactics? Here's a few - the enforcer paddles out
with a diving knife staped to his leg, and as he paddles behind you, he quietly and sureptitiously cuts your leash in half. Next set rolls through,
empty lineup. The perpetual fade - on a big day you take off in front of the offender and start fading into him, and you don't stop. Naturally, you
eat it too, but he gets the message. While the offender is surfing, you apply a liberal coat of surf wax to his windshield, or you place mackerel
heads in his hubcaps, or you remove the caps from the tire valves, place tiny little rocks in them, and screw them back on - 3 hours later, all 4
tires are flat. There are plenty more, and this loser CJ deserved all of them. I know many surfers, weekenders to legends, and regardless of ability
the CJ's of the world always get their due. "The Hand" was very kind. Among other things, it's losers like these why I will never return to Scorp.

Ahhhhh, brodeal my newbie Nomad... One does not 'tell' others about the Sacred Saints. Rather, one must endeavor to learn about the Saints and their
ways. Only through intense study, years of self sacrifice and miles and miles of dusty roads can one even begin to hope for acceptance into the
Brotherhood of the Oval Eye.

Oh ****! Some of the guys from CJ's crew are now defending themselves on one of the blog comment sections. It's getting ugly and someone posted the
fins for sale in Santa Cruz, (I don't think it's real.)

its true they were total jerks, but the worst were the 2 other guys c.j. brought with him(brian anderson + friend). they were muscle bound and
angry snakes. his girl wasnt any better either. they all would just back paddle the group and go again, to the point of physical conflict. their
reasoning, well "they were filming a movie so it was o.k. " i say we shoulda got the cameraman as well.
as for the sacred saints, i feel san andreas "george's Rules " should stand anywhere. its common sense safe practical, and easy. i mean these places
are wave machines, let alone your in baja already. your only hustle should be to put the wax on. after that slow down , relax a bit, and let go a
little already...

my favorite is the "fade", AKA going left at a right point break with elbows at the ready! it makes the conversation SO much more intimate whilst
gathering boards in the foam.
