Traveler's Checks?

Hi everyone,

Is there a need to have traveler's checks as a back up in Baja? Once when I was in Tulum the only ATM machine in town was down, and I was glad I had back up TCs. Here's where I'll be in Baja: Cabo SL, La Paz, Cabo Pulmo, and SJ del Cabo. Are ATMs abundant? Good to have maybe $100 in TCs just in case? Opinions? (I realize that in Cabo Pulmo I need to bring all the cash with me that I'll need there...)

Thanks!!

I could not get mine cashed anywhere except a bank...some of the bigger resorts maybe. ATM are everywhere, so no need for T.C. except if you intend to carry more then say $1000

TCs are a PITA.

Go ATMs. Let your bank know, before you go.
