Revolution Day in Asuncion fiesta photos

We had a lot of fun with our guests at the Revolution Day Fiesta in the evening which featured fokloric dancing and rustic food booths. The hit of the evening were the kindergarden kids mariachi band and dancers. Here is a sample of what the evening was like.

Well, since we were leaving the next day, we sure couldn't miss the evening fiesta.

Welcomed by two of the performers

The food booths built that day out of palms were a labor of love and a real work of art---difficult to really show them off as it was very dark.

Our favorite, of course, was the one built by the moutain bike club, the Lobos Marinos. Jesus and Emma are cooking over the open fire

Even with all the hard work, Emma has her usual big smile

Me, trying to help keep two of youngest Lobos Marinos occupied while the parents cook

But then we were invaded by bandits!

Oh well, guess we will now kill them with our singing.

The little dancers Shari posted were adorable, but so were the older ones. This young man was a great dancer---his partner just wished he was a little taller

There are those "awful" local police again. This time they are helping to move props---they also had helped build the stage.

My favorite were the beautiful young ladies all in a different bright color, and they sure knew how to show off the colors

And dance they could.

That's all folks

Well, if we can't be in BA right now, we can still enjoy it.

No FedEx to Bahia Asuncion yet----no post office either, just the Western Union.
