Alaska air rumor?

just heard a rumor that Alaska Air is refunding the tourist card charge on flights for FM3 holders. last time I checked, several years ago, that wasn't the case. anyone know if there is any truth to this one?

I have been able to get the discount from Alaska for the FM-3 in the past, by going their ticket office and showing them the FM-3. That had to happen when buying the ticket, and not at check-in..

No rumor, flew in from Seattle late Oct. Had fm3 and copy of same, filled out Alaska refund application at checkin .$22 was credited to my Alaska Visa card in Nov. The only delay was the lack of forms ,the agent went to every station with no luck and finally got one from the next counter.Traffic was very light with no lines otherwise I would'nt want to hold up the line 10 minutes for $22.On the other hand, watching the agent search through about 10 different drawers with no luck, gave me a head start getting my Mexican clock going.

We usually get the refund processed when checking in at the ticket counter, unless the line at the counter is really long. The hardest thing can be finding an agent that knows how to do the refund form. If you get a knowledgeable agent you can get them to give you a few of the refund forms, then you can have most of it filled out for them when you come to the counter. If you also have a copy of your FM-3 to give the agent it saves them some time as well.
